This Acupuncture Practice is Unlike Other Acupuncture Practices.

Every time you have a new symptom, condition, or diagnosis an evaluation will be scheduled.

During the evaluation the doctor may provide recommendations (ie: orders) such as lab testing, imagining orders, referrals to other doctors, and/or recommendations about acupuncture, or anything else within her scope of practice will be recommended.

Can I just try acupuncture without an evaluation?

No. Except if you are interested in the discounted acupuncture service.

Can I have acupuncture whenever I want to?

No, you will be provided a treatment plan. The only time you can have acupuncture as you wish is with the discounted acupuncture service.

There is so much to choose from (acupuncture, herbal medicine, functional medicine, coaching), I don't know what to choose.

It is in your best interest to schedule a consultation and receive initial and ongoing recommendations from your provider. What may seem options to you, are her toolbox, from which she provides recommendations. It takes over a decade of education and an additional decade of real-world practice to provide recommendations to patients.

How come this acupuncturists does not practice like other acupuncturists?

This acupuncturists has 13 years of additional education, has developed methods and protocols which are not taught to acupuncturists.

Why don't you accept insurance?

Insurance provides coverage for limited conditions and/or does not cover some of our services. There are benefits to obtaining healthcare out of network: you can purchase what insurance cannot buy. The benefits of living in a country which allows for innovation and supports a free market is that patients can choose to purchase healthcare services without the involvement of insurance. You can use your insurance coverage for medically necessary lab orders (ie: blood tests), and imaging (ie: MRI's, etc.) Or, we may be able to obtain labs and imaging at better rates than your insurance may bill you for.

Can I email, call, or text the acupuncturist?

No, you cannot contact the acupuncturist without an appointment.

What happens during an Acupuncture appointment?

It depends were you go. You will lay down, if you are unable to lay down, you will remain seated in your wheelchair. You will receive acupuncture. You may receive hypnotherapy with Acupuncture. You may receive other services (moxibustion) which have additional fees. If you come in with a new condition you will be evaluated (additional fees apply).

Why Are Most Services other than Acupuncture Provided Virtually?

Therapeutic services cannot be combined with consulting services.

Why Do I Have to Pay to Talk to the Acupuncturist?

We must be paid for our time. Professional services, including cognitive services have fees. Acupuncture fees only include Acupuncture.

Can acupuncturists call themselves doctor?

Welcome to America, where each state has its' own regulations. In California, a licensed acupuncturist (L.Ac) who has completed a doctorate degree in acupuncture; may be called Doctor. Acupuncturists are not comparable with other healthcare professionals, they have a distinct scope of practice and at least 8-10 years of education.

My MD referred me for acupuncture, can I just schedule an appointment for acupuncture?

No, you will require an appointment for a consultation for us to evaluate your chief complaint and decide if we may be able to help you and what will be required of you. There are plenty of acupuncture clinics which will let you just try acupuncture; ours is not one of those. After many years in business it is clear that patients without any guidance, or advice failed to obtain results with acupuncture.

When Should I call for a Consultation?

As soon as symptoms arise. As soon as you've had an accident, surgery, or injury. As soon as you know you have an upcoming surgery. As soon as you are ready to obtain a better quality of life.
